Then, download the official Geocaching® app together, help them add you as a friend, and learn to navigate the map.
Plan your first outing
Embark on your first joint geocaching adventure by choosing a beginner-friendly cache. We recommend a small to large-sized Traditional Cache with a low difficulty and terrain rating that has recently been found. But with your experience on their side, you can also show off a more advanced local favorite.
Connect in the Geocaching® app
Strengthen your team: Adding your friend in the app not only keeps you connected but also makes planning and coordinating your hunts much easier.
Geocaching friends can see what caches you have found if they need help. You can also track points in a friendly competition on the leaderboard.
Here’s how:
On your Geocaching® app profile, tap on your photo, then My code, and ask your friend to scan your personal QR code. This will allow them to send you a friend request. Make sure to accept it in your friends list in the app.
